I’ve had my desktop slideshow set to Tokyo 2012 for a while now, but still haven’t gotten sick of it. Maybe I’m feeling the urge to travel again because someone I know is visiting Tokyo soon. Anyhow, this one is from when we went to Sunshine Aquarium in Ikebukuro.
Shiodome Media Tower – sleek.
We rode the Skyliner from the airport to the city, and while that’s the name of the train, it seems to also be an appropriate name for this photo taken from that train.
Somewhere in Shiodome… September 25, 2012.
A while back I posted another photo of Shimbashi Station, an aerial view. This time, the desktop slideshow came up with a different perspective, a photo taken from the station platform itself. On this day we were waiting for a train to take us to Makuhari Messe, site of the Tokyo Game Show.
Just like that it’s been over two years since that day in Tokyo, and yesterday (November 14 PST) marked two years exactly since we returned our car and officially ended Adventure 2012. Now, we’re in Hong Kong and living a different adventure.
Where will we be in another two years?
Anyhow, my desktop slideshow is currently playing photos from Tokyo 2012, and tonight another photo from the nature aquarium showed up. As I said, I never tire of looking at these sorts of photos. Here, we have some type of pygmy cory, and beneath it is a Japanese bamboo shrimp. In the background there are yet more unidentified fish.
From above, Shimbashi Station and its surroundings look like a model train set. It’s crazy how everything is so densely packed.
It’s kind of surreal to watch a baseball game being played indoors, but that’s what we did on that Friday, September 21, 2012.
