This early edition magazine scan features the April 1992 issue of Video Games & Computer Entertainment. Highlights (at least for me, anyway) include the Master Gear Converter, and one of the iconic games of our time, Civilization. Yes, it received 9 out of 10, but I wonder if anyone at the time knew that gaming history was being made.
Something else that caught my eye is the vertical red line on the left side of page 22. Normally, these types of lines (green is another color) appear because of a piece of dust or debris getting caught in the scanner, but this time the red line is actually a part of the page. On the most part, this issue didn’t have too many artifacts (lucky!).
Lastly, while scanning this issue I noticed that the subscription price actually went down from $26.95 to $19.95, and going back to check it actually started back in February of 1992. Is this why the magazine became 50 pages thinner?
The scanning grind continues…
